Re-branding this Chicago music venue was this designer’s dream come true. By picking up the bubble motif from the previous signage and pairing it with some custom lettering, the feel of the Tonic Room’s brand went from dated to classic.
The subtle distressed textures and bold black and red colors were the perfect toolkit for building on the Tonic Room’s reputation as Chicago’s most artist-friendly venue. A great place to listen to music, sip a drink and be part of the fabric of Chicago’s music scene.

Hi, I'm Ryan.
My passion is developing top rail artwork and design for trail blazers and Scoundrels.I get true satisfaction by helping those with a unique vision refine their voice through hand-crafted designs and illustration.
I’ve been utilizing my fine art background and 12 years of marketing agency experience to make lots of cool stuff for adventurous folks. Stuff like beautiful book layouts, key illustrations, expressive brand identity, and eye-catching packaging or merch designs.
I’ve worked with folk musicians, tabletop game designers, restaurateurs, campers, glampers, nerds, explorers, spicy creators, antique dealers and dog walkers. Why Outrider?
